A BRIEF REFLECTION

Strange times indeed! Been busy the past couple of weeks, but mostly due to online scanning of the "news" about the virus related nonsense. Wanted to share this before I continue my morning routine.
With the mandatory shutdows or attendance limitations of "religious gatherings" (however, I have only heard of this being applied to churches or synagogues, not other groups. I wonder why.), those churches with internet, technology, and the like are hosting online services.
I get why, but we miss the point of why we gather as a church in the first place. Most everything a church does while assembled together can be done better and more fruitfully while apart. We can have our individual times of singing (creating our own "worship" ) by pulling up videos or playing CDs and singing along or listening to music of our own choosing.
We can take the time--real time, if we want, significant time--to pray about anything and everything. We can have our own time of communion (bread, cup, reflection or discussion) and take as much time as we'd like. We can even find our "favorite" radio/TV/Youtube minister and get better (gulp) teachings from them.
Yes, even the online services of the best churches can be enjoyed
