WHAT TO EXPECT
Many are afraid when they think about attending a church service for the first time. Will I be welcomed? Will I fit in? Are the services formal or informal? Are the people casually dressed or do they wear their "Sunday best"?

Fear not! We are a small congregation - 16 to 18 is a good Sunday, while 20 is great. But with the smallness comes a genuine warm welcome to all who come through the doors. You will also find that everyone is casually dressed.

Of course, the smallness is a problem too - we cannot offer the programs that a larger church can. At this time, we do not have a Sunday evening service, nor one for Wednesday night. But we think that what we do have, we do with quality and joy.

We have an ADULT Sunday school downstairs in our fellowship hall from 9:30 to 10:15 for all adults present. (If young people come, we do have teachers for them). Our class Is held with light-heartedness and informality, with coffee, hot chocolate ( and sometimes snacks ). Although informal, the class is taught in a somewhat serious manner, but with a heavy Scriptural emphasis.

Our MORNING SERVICE begins at 10:30 in the auditorium upstairs, and is a blended service. The first part of the service is more traditional - normally an opening hymn, prayer time, prayer hymn, communion hymn and communion. The second part normally offers more contemporary singing ( with guitar and keyboard ), after which is our teaching time. The teaching is sometimes thematic, sometimes seasonal, sometimes through a book of the Bible, but it's always Biblical.

At the end of the service, we offer a time for any to respond to the message if they desire to do so. We don't call it an invitation, because the teaching is not directed to unbelievers. We believe that to become a Christian, more information is needed than can be given during a typical sermon.

We do NOT take up an offering during the service. We recognize that sometimes people cannot give, and we do not wish to embarrass them. If visitors are present, we do not want to make them feel obligated to give. On a table in the back of the auditorium is a small wooden church building where those who wish to give may do so.
