Jesus Still Lives

Easter (or Resurrection Sunday, which I prefer) was yesterday. We had a great day with the church family of FCCN--a Sunday school breakfast, some new faces, an encouraging song service, a well-done special, and a reminder throughout that Jesus rose.

But today is Monday, and it's back to the grind. But Jesus still lives! The emotions we experienced when we were together are gone--but Jesus still lives! The frustrations of life continue--but Jesus still lives! The monthly bills are arriving--but Jesus still lives! I get aggravated as I attempt to type this blog--but Jesus lives!

We must allow Jesus to move into all of our life, and allow him to transform each aspect of it. He can, and he desires to do it. Paul wanted this too--he wanted to know Christ and the power of his resurrection AND the fellowship of his sufferings, to become like him in his death.

And for us, that is the secret--to really know that Jesus lives, we have to die to ourselves. Until we do, we are in control and will know nothing of that resurrection power and life that is available for us.
