Still Alive!

Me, that is. As usual, life keeps me away from the keyboard. Here's what's been going on.

1. Possibility of job loss. The property management firm I have been working for is selling many/most/all of their holdings (depends on who you ask or what you read). Will I have a job when "the dust settles"?

2. Because of 1., I had been working before or after my full time job doing side work. That took up about 3 weeks of time in July and August.

3. Study prep, ministerial work, helping others in the church reminds me of my primary calling to be a servant of all, This too takes time.

It is so easy to be distracted by good things, necessary things, important things--to the point that the greatest, most necessary, and most important thing gets left behind in the busyness. I am thankful that Jesus is still alive too, an ever-present help, comfort, friend, and strengthener. But I am ashamed to think how little I value his friendship.
