Everyone wants to be number one, the greatest, the "top of the food chain." Nothing wrong with such aspirations, of course, because there is nothing wrong with wanting to excel. But few are willing to make the sacrifices necessary to do this. Some that do, climb over others to get to the top, or use them as "rungs on the ladder of success."

Jesus is supreme! Who else can fulfill the "job qualifications" described by Paul? We see that he is the image of God, creator of all, holding it all together, everything made for him, pre-existent, head of all authority human and divine, and the first to die and be raised from death/the realm of the dead--never to die again.

Jesus is supreme! Who else can do what he has done? What else can be done to show his supremacy? At the end of all things, one final acknowledgement will be made. Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that supremacy, because all will see and know that he is!
